Our Story
Built in the 1800’s as a coaching inn, set in an area of natural beauty, and offering superior B&B accommodation with 4 brand new rooms, The Stables at the Black Horse is set in an idyllic village, just 7 miles from Durham City.
Situated on the A690, it offers direct links to Durham, Weardale, and Bishop Auckland, making it a great base for travellers exploring the local area and the glorious County Durham countryside.
