Our History

Originally built in the 1800s, The Stables Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of a former mining village, in an old coaching house. With views overlooking the River Wear, in a quiet rural location, in Willington, County Durham, it’s an ideal place to stay when visiting the North East of England.

The Black Horse has been at the heart of our local community in Willington for many years. Whether you’re looking for a bespoke bed and breakfast for an overnight stay, dropping in for drinks, or celebrating a special occasion with friends and family, our pub has something for everyone.

Dogs on leads are welcomed in the bar and there is free WiFi throughout.

Upstairs there are 4 double en-suite bedrooms, offering inclusive bed and breakfast.

Outside we have a beer garden with seating and free car park facilities.
